Long time no see.
I've been very busy the whole summer writing and recording music for an upcoming progressive rock album. There's plenty of material now and I have already found a fantastic singer for this, his name is to be revealed later.
Anyway, here's a little teaser. It's a short guitar thing from a song called "Sea of stones". I hope you like it.
Here's a few black and white pictures (plus one colour picture) I shot during my recent trip to Raahe:
This simple idea just popped up from somewhere so of course I had to try it out. I placed my Lensball on the table and set up my camera and flash so that the Lensball is between those two, slightly off-axis. Then I sprayed the Lensball lightly with water and pulled out my macro lens (which is a Sigma 70 mm) and started shooting. The results are quite amazing and achieved with minimal effort. Here are some of the shots I got:

The only thing that needed moving was me with my camera. I only moved few millimeters or centimeters left, right, up or down and the difference was huge. Quick post edit in Affinity and that's it. Next time I plan to experiment more with the placing (and the angle) of the flash and whatever else.
Not my favourite time of year but winter does provide some nice photographic situations, which I of course must try and record somehow. Here's a few pictures taken this week.

Hello there,
this is my new attempt at a blog, with all the musical endeavours as before, but now also with photography! Shooting my cameras is a relatively new thing for me, as I've been doing that only for slightly under 4 years now, and it keeps growing on me ever still. I guess you could call me a serious amateur photographer.
I have a Bandcamp page where you can purchase (and listen to) my music. Now, music is something I've been doing for almost 4 decades now, and even that is still growing on me. Both music and photography are areas of art that keep you wanting more, or at least exploring more. You are never done with it.
With that in mind, I stumbled on this website that contains a truck load of good information on flash photography. The page is called Strobist. Please visit that website if flash photography is in your interests, you will like it. The page has a "recommended reading" - i.e. a page of suggested reading material. They call it Strobist bookshelf. I had already bought a book by Joe McNally and I liked it a lot, so I thought I could get some of these other books, too. So I did.

I haven't had the time to look deep into these but just by leafing through them they look very promising. Loads of information, even a little on the philosophical side. The Winters' book is almost 700 pages, so it'll be a while before I'm through with it.
Music. Earlier this week I released a new collection of my original fusion (rockjazz) songs on Bandcamp, so go check it out if that sort of thing tickles your fancy. The new "album" is entitled Out of my hands. It features 9 songs with a pdf booklet/liner notes.
